MECKLENBURG County Emergency
Services Information
All Mecklenburg County calls originating from the 434
area code are answered in Boydton. The Warren County, NC calls from
Morristown with the 434 area code are also answered in Boydton. For Law
Enforcement Issues, the 911 dispatcher will notify the Sheriff’s Dept for
response.
- The LAKE GASTON VFD
will respond to fire calls from the County Line on the east to Old
Tammany Road on the west to Lake Gaston on the south (including Morristown,
NC) and north to Nellie Jones Rd.
- (Mutual support is provided from the South Hill and
LaCrosse VFDs depending on the degree of the emergency and/or the location
in the county.)
- For EMS, the 911 dispatcher will send
South Side Rescue Squad out of South Hill, and
they would be backed up by Boydton Life Station out of Boydton.
- For roadway accidents, the 911 dispatcher will
notify the applicable County Sheriff’s Dept, State Police and fire and
rescue as needed.

The SOUTH HILL
VFD will respond to fire calls from
Hwy 1 on the West to US85 on the East from County Line on the North to the
lake on the South (including the Bracey Truck Stop)
- (Mutual support is provided from the Lake Gaston and
LaCrosse VFDs depending on the degree of the emergency and/or the location
in the county.)
- For EMS, the 911 dispatcher will send
South Side Rescue Squad out of South Hill, and
they would be backed up by Boydton Life Station out of Boydton.
- For roadway accidents, the 911 dispatcher will
notify the applicable County Sheriff’s Dept, State Police and fire and
rescue as needed.

The PALMER
SPRINGS VFD will respond to fire
calls from Kerr Lake on the West to
the County Line on the East, from the Lake on the North to the County/State
Line on the South.
- (Mutual support is provided from the Hawtree VFD and
South Hill VFD depending on the degree of the emergency and/or the
location in the county.)
- For EMS, the 911 dispatcher will send
South Side Rescue Squad out of South Hill, and
they would be backed up by Boydton Life Station out of Boydton.
- For roadway accidents, the 911 dispatcher will
notify the applicable County Sheriff’s Dept, State Police and fire and
rescue as needed.
